In Singapore's busy city, the FairPrice Foundation is a source of hope for those in need. Established in 2008 by the FairPrice Group, Singapore's retail giant, this philanthropic arm stands out for its unwavering commitment to aiding the poor and needy, uplifting worker welfare, and fostering community bonds. By ensuring access to daily essentials for those in need, supporting the welfare of workers across industries, and encouraging community engagement, the Foundation lays a strong foundation for a cohesive and resilient society.

The FairPrice Foundation was first established as the philanthropic arm of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) FairPrice, which has operated since 1973. The FairPrice Group, established in 2019, encompasses NTUC FairPrice and other social enterprises like NTUC Foodfare, Kopitiam, and NTUC Link under one umbrella to enhance efficiency and service. So, the Foundation predates the formation of the Group as it was associated directly with NTUC FairPrice Co-operative before the Group's consolidation.

Since its inception, the FairPrice Foundation has been a force for good, disbursing over $120 million to various charitable causes.

Unique in its funding model, the Foundation operates solely on donations from the NTUC FairPrice Co-operative, without seeking public contributions. This model not only ensures a steady flow of resources for its philanthropic activities but also reinforces the cooperative's commitment to social welfare.

Impacting Lives: A Decade of Generosity

Since its inception, the FairPrice Foundation has been a force for good, disbursing over $120 million to various charitable causes. From ensuring food security for vulnerable families to supporting the well-being of workers and organising events that celebrate community spirit, the Foundation's efforts touch all corners of society. Notably, it has been a stalwart supporter of the Ren Ci Hospital's Patient Care Programme, the main sponsor of the Food from the Heart's Clean Plate Campaign, and a collaborator with the Community Chest to support social service agencies and organises Community Block Parties to bring residents together and support the vulnerable.
