Empowering Women in Indonesia

In rural Indonesia, Deloitte's collaboration with Barry Callebaut, a leading cocoa and chocolate manufacturer, exemplifies WorldClass in action. This partnership supports 1.4 million smallholder cocoa farmers by providing educational programs that enhance their business acumen and sustainability. Focusing on female farmers who balance domestic responsibilities with entrepreneurial activities highlights the initiative's aim to foster economic growth and social change.

Program Overview and Impact

The program offers a 14-week course covering business fundamentals and marketing strategies specifically designed for women in the cocoa farming sectors of Sulawesi and Sumatra. Since its inception, 50 women have completed the course, applying their new skills to their businesses, thus enhancing their family's economic standing and community strength. The educational content, developed from the ground up to meet specific local needs, ensures relevant and impactful learning.

The Power of Collaboration

Deloitte leverages its extensive network of professionals to teach and mentor participants, creating a sustainable education and empowerment model.
