In the wake of challenges faced by refugees globally, Aziz Alghunaim and Atif Javed, driven by the urgency of President Trump's first Muslim ban in 2017, embarked on a journey to create Tarjimly. Quitting their jobs at Palantir and AJ+, respectively, they developed an app to eliminate language barriers that hinder refugees and aid workers, providing them with the necessary support and assistance. Tarjimly, which translates to translate for me in Arabic, uses advanced machine learning to match refugees with volunteer translators best suited to their immediate needs.
